One of my seasonal favs!! I couldn't wait for the first big tomatoes to rippen up so I could make this!!
Ingredients:
- Sliced tomatoes (cut as thick or thin as you like. I like good hearty slices)
- Basil (as much or little as you like)
- Cheese (any kind! Parm, Mozzarella, etc...or a combination!)
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Step 1: Slice Tomatoes
Step 3: Layer with Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper
Step 4: Top with Cheese
Step 5: Bake at 400 degrees for 5-8 minutes (depending on how crispy you like the cheese...just keep an eye on it!)
Step 6: Serve it up! You can have them singles or layer them for a tall stack! Look at that Cheese!!! Oh you have to try this, it smells and tastes amazing! This is a very inexpensive and easy snack or appetizer...especially if you get the ingredients from your own backyard garden :)
