Hive Entrance of a Swarm colony transfer Top Bar Hive

This is a very strong colony of bees that was brought in from one of our swarm traps. They were transferred into the Top Bar Hive a few minutes before this video was taken. They are adjusting very nicely to their new home and quickly learn the "ins and outs" to their new location.

    1. I know! if you would have told me 5 years ago that id have bee hives I would have laughed at you...but I LOVE it! it is quite shocking how relaxing it really is though! I love sitting at the hive entrance watching them come in and out... bryan likes to get up just inches away, i like to sit a few feet back ;) They just mind their own business and keep on working as long as no one's getting in the way. I love honey bees!!

    1. Put a few drops of lemongrass oil inside...the bees love it! We have had great success with that technique! Good luck, keep me updated on your swarm catching! So exciting!
